They must be well integrated and consider themselves as full-fledged citizens.<\/section>\n<section><\/section>\n<section><\/section>\n<section class=\"mb-5\">The main conditions are as follows:<\/section>\n<section><\/section>\n<section class=\"mb-5\">\n<ul>\n<li>Hold a C establishment permit<\/li>\n<li>Have lived in Switzerland for at least 10 years<\/li>\n<li>Have lived in the canton of Vaud for at least 2 years, including the year preceding the application<\/li>\n<li>Speaking and writing in French (A2 written\/B1 oral certificates)<\/li>\n<li>Not to have received any social assistance in the 3 years preceding the application<\/li>\n<li>Paying your taxes<\/li>\n<li>No recent lawsuits or certificates of default.<\/li>\n<li>Respect safety and public requirements<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Becoming Swiss<br><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>One of the main conditions for applying for naturalization is a certain level of proficiency in a national language.<\/p>\n<p>For the French-speaking cantons, the<strong>following<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>levels of French&nbsp;<\/strong>are required:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the&nbsp;<strong>FIDE language passport<\/strong>&nbsp;certifying level in&nbsp;French<strong> B1 in oral and A2 in written expression&nbsp;<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>the&nbsp;<strong>DELF, DALF, TCF&nbsp;or TEF diploma<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>proof of compulsory schooling in French<\/strong>&nbsp;for at least five years<\/li>\n<li>a diploma<strong>in French<\/strong> from a<strong>secondary level II or tertiary level&nbsp;.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>An exception can be made for personal circumstances that would prevent language learning, by providing a&nbsp;<strong>certificate recognized by the canton or a detailed medical
